As a statistician, I would look to see what those nations have in common that elicits such condemnation from around the globe.

for so many statistics, I run out eventually.

My guess, sabre rattling that scares the neighbors, as well as a willingness to enter into skirmishes and funding those who will destabilize the neighbors, internally repressive policies, persecution of minority religious and ethnic groups, etc.

Things the US tends to do, but we cleaned up our image a little with Obama, though he certainly hasn't been quite as good at avoiding certain things, like clinging to the war on terror, as I had hoped.

The opinions are not primarily coming from folks in the "region" that might be affected by these behaviors -- but from people throughout the world.

It would suggest they are making legal and moral judgements from afar of what is the standard of decent behavior for a global nation-state.

'nuclear powers acting badly' would also tend to fit most of the group, while Iran is still presumably a wannabee who is close to being a nuclear power.   Obama seems to have been successful with other world powers in pushing Iran slightly back from the edge, at this point.

With PRNK and Israel it's international law, Pk and Iran are a different story, I think their own internal laws are so out of touch with international norms that they bottom out.

I am surprised that KSA isn't down there, I'd rather take my chances being tried in Iran than KSA any day.

…other people's religions. As you can see from the this chart, Americans are overwhelmingly superstitious and religiously obsessed. A non-theist could never be elected President. Couldn't pass the religious test in the US.

I would leave the first Estonia at the top, and substitute Poland for the lower Estonia.

          Just a guess, however.

list, one of the top 19 or 20, with a really high percentage of athieists and non-believers.

Also interesting that no other country in the Mideast appears anywhere on that list.

        •  I think that's interesting, too. (0+ / 0-)

It makes the point I did, above. It's a tribal/racist genocide war -- just like the US genocide -- that has little to do with religion.
