    But what you wrote was,

Whoever does this is revealing their anti-semistism [sic]
Excoriate them you may, but I do not think you mean to accuse Zionists of anti-semitism.

To put the torture behind us is, inevitably, to put it in front of us.

    •  Again, why would you say that? (5+ / 0-)

      Have you read Ali Abunimah?

Those who conflate Israeli identity with Jewish identity are anti-semites, because they are denying Jews the freedom to make their own alliances and freedom of self identification.

      It's *Gandhi*, not Ghandi

      •  No, not antisemitic. Just mistaken. (1+ / 0-)

Israel has a lot of support among American Jews, so it's an easy mistake to make.

It's made by some Zionists, too, who conflate Jewish identity with Zionism.

I agree, though, that one should not overgeneralize.

Obama: Pro-Pentagon, pro-Wall Street, pro-drilling, pro-fracking, pro-KXL, pro-surveillance. And the only person he prosecuted for the U.S. torture program is the man who revealed it. Clinton: More of the same.
