    I won't even pretend to be an authority on the question, but "men and women" includes transgenders in the physical sense, doesn't it?

    Now, the soul is a separate matter; I hadn't really stopped to consider it before reading your comment, but would it be reasonable (within the limits of the Biblical terminology) to describe a transgender person as a soul whose gender differs from that of their physical body?

    So, I'd say that the key point is in Genesis 2:7:

    And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
    I would (respectfully, and please tell me if you think I'm off base) suggest that the first part of that verse accounts for the physical attributes of our bodies, but that the second accounts for our souls/personalities/pick-your-term...

    The word "parent" is supposed to be a VERB, people...
