    Since all other presidents acted accordingly and they didn't get sued, doesn't this get thrown out immediately due to the fact that precedent dictates that the President act like all other Presidents before him who found themselves in the same situation?  Most would think so.

    A crime is not a crime simply because someone says so.

      Sure--our Presidents could each charge the previous Presidents with crimes and demand prosecution--there are some less developed nations that do that. But what would be the benefit here? We sometimes have to be "better" than that and move on--the shame of what the previous President did (e.g. Nixon) can be punishment enough--though I somehow believe that Cheney deserves more. ..
