Every day I listen to Jerry play.

Whether it's gdradio.net, SiriusXM, torrents from bt.etree.org, streaming archive.org, or the multitude of studio and live recordings on CD, I just can't stop.

The Ultimate be thanked for all these neato resources for us Dead heads on the Internet.

Until I discovered them, I was afraid that I'd never get a collection of the live recordings for myself. But now, it's easy. And legitimate (thank you, gentle Band!).

I believe it was Phil Lesh who stated that permitting the Dead heads to record the live shows was one of the smartest things the Dead ever did. Live recorders -- and those who obtained copies of these recordings -- were some of the most reliable customers the Dead ever had, attending concerts, buying albums, and promoting the fuck out of the music.

Not bad at all for a bunch of DFH's. (Either the band or the Dead heads, actually both.

    :-)
