...considering the fact that those we need most tend to sit midterms out and those they need the most show up in droves.

Adequate health care should be a LEGAL RIGHT in the U.S without begging or bankruptcy. Until it is, we should not dare call our society civilized.

    •  But turnout, WE can fix. (0+ / 0-)

The GOP is handing us one unforced error after another.

The President is holding press conferences and going on tour to criticize House Republicans.

      GOTV!

2014 is HERE. Build up the Senate. Win back the House : 17 seats. Plus!

...and by young, I mean 18-24. That is always difficult in a midterm election because most young people don't identify with House or Senate candidates. Back in 2006, it was easy to get people to the polls because of Katrina and the unpopularity of the Iraq War. This time around, we have to convince them to blame Republicans for low-paying jobs (which the GOP and media blame on Obamacare), the VA scandal (which they will NEVER blame on the GOP) and the border crisis (which the GOP just covered its tracks on).

I'll give Republicans this: They may not have a clue where presidential elections are concerned, but they know exactly how to rile up their base for midterms. We had better step to and do the same if we want to prevail this year.
