Message should be all lanes need to be fast.
In fact, their governments and their people consider affordable access to the internet and/or free wifi to be a right for everyone (just as they consider free education and free health care to be a right - all paid for with their tax dollars from everyone - everyone pays and everyone benefits), not the privilege of only those who can afford it.  Their internet speeds are as fast as they can get all the time, no exceptions.  They keep up with their technology infrastructure, in other words.

So, why can't we do the same if the US is supposed to be the "best" country in the world...???

As far as I can see, thanks to "free enterprise" system of acquiring record-setting profits and doling out obscene bonuses to executives, we are rapidly pedaling backward at a faster and faster pace.

I'm not against companies getting a profit as long as they sink those profits back into the business and/or make their products affordable to everyone, but corporations are not inclined to do that now - they just move their headquarters overseas, outsource the making of their products to other countries, not hire people here in the US to work for them, and give those profits to executives who send it offshore where the corporation's money is now kept.

So, how about telecoms investing in high speed equipment to cover the entirety of the US (including out in the boonies and sparsely populated areas), which means hiring people right here in the US to do those jobs, reducing their fees so everyone can afford their products and services, which - in the long run - will maintain their profit ratios for their "precious" executives...???

I'm sick of attempts to steer this nation from principles evolved in The Age of Reason to hallucinations derived from illiterate herdsmen. ~ Crashing Vor
