        Actually, they use phony telephone survey results. Call up folks and take the exaggerations as gospel.

        They claim 2,000,000 armed defenses a year. A flat lie.

        Most defenses happen at retail establishments that have cash registers. Money is the target. Unless you're selling drugs, home invasions are a rarity -- burglary is easy to time for hours when no one is home.

        Of course every example for home invasion makes the news. We got one recently on the East Coast that happened out in California.
