    The last time America bombed Iraq was to save it from Saddam and it ended in the mess we have today.   There are countries closer to the scene that could do the job better and understand the situation better than the American President.

        I infer American liberals wholly support America's role as the world's policeman.  So to paraphrase Miss Stein, An American is an America, is an American.  And whether Left or Right it makes no difference at all.

          Some are totally isolationist, at the other extreme are interventionists like Samantha Power.  Most are between those extremes.

            They cannot imagine anything other than total xenophobic isolationism and militaristic interventionalism because very few of them know anything about peaceful engagement.  So often it seems the Tea Party is the authentic expression of American political thought
