    •  ISIS is at war with the entire world (6+ / 0-)

      "yet another war"

      Christ

Do you know what someone from ISIS would do if they were within a knife's reach of you or your children?

I am half expecting some answer from you saying "Well I was also against the President killing bin Laden, I mean bin Laden was just peacefully hiding in Pakistan, why are we always starting wars?"

      •  Do you know what the US would do if you lived (4+ / 0-)

next door, or shopped next to an ISIS cel phone carrier?

Plenty of fear to go around. Death toll seems to favor "our" side, mightily.

23 years now, is that right? 23 years we've been setting the stage for ISIS. We funded them a few months ago, right?

They are killing people with the weapons we left after our noble and strategic 23 year blockade and occupation.

Your tone here is really off. You can certainly disagree, but do so on humanitarian grounds not with a hyper-emotive bogeyman.

How the fuck does the gulf war in response to the invasion of Kuwait give a good reason for ISIS to commit genocide on northern Iraqi children?

What kind of sixth degree bullshit are you rambling about?

I can play that game: You've used gasoline-using machines, which is from a market dominated by mid-east oil, which has been used to arm extremists that kill innocents, therefore: you are a cruel murderer. How do you live with yourself?

I can't believe you packed so much BS into one post, like the US wouldn't care that a civilian home was right next to a cell phone carrier. Or that terrorists and the US are just two sides, and you're not even sure that you want to be on the US "side". Or that because terrorists looted somewhere, it means something profound.

          •  Nice straw man you got there. (0+ / 0-)

ISIS will kill your children if they are close enough.

The US will kill you if you are too close to ISIS.

Fear is a great motivator for violence. It turns off the thinking part of the brain. Sounds like you know what I'm talking about.

I think that the US military has already demonstrated that they don't care too much for collateral damage.

We have too much baggage in theater to be an asset on the ground or to participate by dealing out violence.

Let other countries put up the guns and we put up the butter.

Single sentences this time. Hopefully you can catch the net.

there will be no Yazidis left.

              •  why would any of them rush to act when they know (0+ / 0-)

                the US always does?

Just as in this situation. They've got us pegged.

                Peshmagar getting people out.

Apparently the US bombed some ISIS folk a few times. I'm actually somewhat cool with that, it's the long term project part I'm absolutely not cool with.

I can totally see running some cover for an humanitarian evacuation but to be working side by side with or for any of these factions in combat is a bad idea for us.

We are in too deep and should get out of the violence business in that part of the world. We should short guns and go all in on butter.  We should go from Global Cop to Global Problem Solver.

            •  No they won't (0+ / 0-)

There have been millions of people close to ISIS this year, the US has not vaporized millions of innocent people this year

I can not believe the mental gymnastics you are trying, and failing, to do to try and compare genocidal terrorists to the us military president Obama commands

I get it, you think Obama is a monster that doesn't give two shits about civilian deaths...that doesn't mean we're comparable to ISIS

"Too much baggage" what fucking country doesn't have massive baggage in that part of the world, the big international powers were all abusive, and the local powers all have blood on their hands

The only country that could even do a fraction of what we could do....is a country that has killed thousands of Kurds and is infamous for its genocide of millions of in those same mountains
