My gut says in terms of electability it goes Johnson, Seifert, Zellers (who led Republican House, lost majority after one term), but in terms of base it goes Johnson, Zellers, Seifert.  Seifert is from outstate which would allow us to really run up the margins in the inner suburbs.

So either way, we don't want Johnson.  But I'm not worried we'll lose it regardless, and Johnson's likely to win.

At least on paper, Johnson is a formidable opponent but he's failed to inspire anyone at this point and I'm not sensing a very strong campaign is forthcoming.  Even so, I think whoever the Republican nominee is will make this a very close race.  I stand alone in predicting this, but I stood alone predicting that based on Dayton's "big lead" in October 2010 as well, but was right.  Never forget that the undecided vote in Minnesota almost always seems to break very heavily Republican.
