  •  Well if you have knee pain, that is a subject (13+ / 0-)

near and dear to my heart. Or at least my right knee. I had a badly torn meniscus. There's a whole diary worth of pain right there. The surgery I had on it 8 or 9 years ago had a great outcome though, and I'm able to manage it much better now.

I just want to live somewhere warm. Is that so wrong?

    •  Holy smokes, same thing same knee this end, sorta. (8+ / 0-)

My left one has been going postal for no particular reason just recently, it's scary.  The poor thing has been asked lots of over years of covering for it's damaged partner, and guess time had just caught up?  I've shed just under 100 lbs. over past 3 years nearing closer to ideal weight for my tall height & big big boned build, but fear damage can't be undone ... dammit.

        therapist, jwinIL14. Seriously.

Not a "pain is weakness leaving the body" one (cf Marines/USAF get-you-back-to-work-now mindset). You want one who's going to tell you, "if it hurts something's wrong. We don't want it to hurt." Before you start.

Yes, you'll be sore. Yes, you'll use new / different muscles/groups / movements / strategies.

        It will be worth it.
