The only group needing to be brought under control are the cops.

They don't need martial law, they need to make the Ferguson police go home and take over law enforcement with a smile and an apology while they publicly investigate, prosecute, and hopefully convict the man that killed Mr. Brown.

Every cop on that force who assaulted and falsely arrested reporters, destroyed private property (al Jazeera's gear), fired tear gas and rubber bullets at peaceful protesters- in other words, arrest the whole police force and let them sit in jail for a while while charges are filed.

        •  Well...you can bet M.O. will be writing a lot of (0+ / 0-)

checks, but I seriously doubt much more will happen. One...two guys lose jobs or gets sued. Feel free to find evidence that any police force in the country would do anything else. Maybe the guy that shot Brown will lose his pension. More likely....he'll kill himself or something.

in civil lawsuits. Usually, the jurisdiction quietly settles.
