This whole situation in reaction to the protests around the police killing an unarmed teen: violent/aggressive riot cops, press suppressed, right to protest impinged...this happens every time people protest where it has the potential for real impact (read: outside of a "free speech zone"). The silver lining is that more people are gaining awareness of what really happens when anyone besides Tea Partiers exercises their right to assembly. You can see the surprise in the MSM reporters' reactions to this. We need real legislative change in this country to protect the people's Constitutional right to assemble from the aggression of the police response.

The People are having their say. And in this country, that doesn't happen every day. You have to get 'lucky'. The story has to go 'viral'.

And then we have action. Not always satisfactory action, but SOMETHING almost always happens to shift things around. And progress slowly progresses again.
