  •  AP seems to have reported PD version (8+ / 0-)

of events.  I saw AP accounts from several outlets, and all had "police said molotov cocktails and rocks were thrown".  No AP reporter said "I saw molotov cocktails and rocks thrown".  So, like where's the eyewitness or second source?

I may believe it when MSNBC or Al-Jazeera reports it firsthand.  But, then, they may be driven off, have their equipment confiscated, and be detained just long enough to miss the actual account.  Who knows.

    •  This is my feeling as well. In this instance, (12+ / 0-)

the police have yet to present ANY evidence, starting with the murder of that boy, to the murderer's supposed "injuries," to the claims of cruiser damage. The only thing they've presented is their word, which, I'm not inclined to believe. Not saying these things couldn't have happened. I'm just saying given the toxic environment, and the whirlwind of confusion, EVIDENCE is crucial. Show us the cop's supposed facial injuries or the hospital report. Show us the damaged cars. Show us the arrests of vandals other than the idiots who decided to use this boy's murder as an opportunity to steal. And even then I might not believe it. I wouldn't put it past them to damage their own property just so they can blame the protesters. The goal being to deflect attention off of them and their murdering colleague whose cowering somewhere in secret after committing a horrific crime. Look at the response they gave yesterday to peaceful protesters. THEY escalated the situation by throwing gasoline on embers. Yes, embers. Those people were angry, but non-violent. They just wanted to express their grief and outrage. Instead they were attacked and treated worse than dogs. I'm honestly not inclined to believe anything the cops say without a boatload of evidence. Not when one of their own has been shielded for murdering an unarmed young man.

    •  I Saw Attempts to Throw Molotov Cocktails (0+ / 0-)

Never saw them get one lit, which was kinda sad.

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.
