  •  That is a good question. (5+ / 0-)

He is a prime witness now, among others.  That young Tiffany Mitchell was on with Lawrence O'Donnell describing what she witnessed, last night.  NBC Legal Analyst, James Cavanaugh, said she and Darian Johnson are very good and very believable witnesses.

I was watching one of the MSNBC hosts interview Darian Johnson, next to his lawyer. He's telling his story and answering the host's questions, in a calm, steady, careful tone, and I'm watching and trying to decide how credible this person seems.

Then my mother calls and wants to speak to my toddler son on the speaker phone. After a minute, I hear her say that she can't hear because of the TV in the background, so I mute it.

And then I'm watching Darian Johnson talk, with the sound off, and I suddenly I realize that he's visibly fighting not to burst into tears, or start screaming and ranting. I couldn't see it when the sound was on, but without that to distract me, I could read his face and his body language. This is was no slick liar spinning a yarn. I believe every word he says.

The cops just made Dorian Johnson a criminal. When he testifies as trial, they will make him out to be a liar covering up for the robbery he helped commit.

It's the same thing the cops did to the eyewitness in the Eric Garner murder. It's not a coincidence. It's a standard police tactic. There is reason they win these trials. They cover for each other. And lie. And have the power to scare witnesses and arrest witnesses (and the family members of witnesses) and make witnesses into criminal.

Anybody who thinks the truth will come out in Ferguson and justice will prevail at a trial or the grand jury isn't thinking about the years and years and years of practice cops and prosecutors have had in framing innocent people.
