why black folk are mad at Obama and what they would like him to do. Seriously.

White folk talking among ourselves about this story keeps the perspective too narrow. Let's widen it out and learn from each other.

And I can tell you that I've been involved in tons of pie wars on this very site defending him.

I am angry because he went into Iraq after pulling those troops out.  WTF.  And that was before this Ferguson stuff stepped off.

People know that Obama was partying while tear gas was flying in Ferguson.  They know this for a fact.  I'm not against the President being on vacation.  I'm not.

But the mistakes that politicians often make in these situations is that they wait until things have gotten out of control before they do anything.  They react instead of being pro-active.

The President didn't seem to ring up Nixon until images of the police ATTACKING THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA  happened and since I've been following this mess since Monday, I knew that the President and the whole Calvary would have something to say when Washington/Huffington Post and Al Jazeera, as well as the local NBC affiliate had guns drawn and tear gas thrown at them.

So yes, I'm angry that black life isn't worth anything even to a black President until the media has been threatened by the militarized police.

      That's why I'm mad.
