I understand why you sad this:

And if $50 shoplifting becomes a capital crime, there are going to be a lot of dead entitled white kids.
however, we have to remember that in Mike Brown's case, his murderer wasn't approaching Brown as a shoplifting suspect. The shoplifting was totally unrelated to the reason given by police for the officer stopping him. Even the chief said  as much (again), after his release of the video blew up in his face.

Let's be careful not to give the Ferguson police ANY generosity by saying he was killed for shoplifting. He was killed for no other reason than that he didn't immediately submit to the will of an over-zealous cop with a very short temper.

But I was trying to represent  the above from the perspective of extreme righties  that I know (more than a few).

They blur it altogether, and it scares them as much (maybe more?) than just a black kid being gunned down. Their kids aren't black. But they know how they behaved as teens, and they know their kids are (generally) more entitled.

      Make sense?

So if you get hit by a bus tonight, would you be satisfied with how you spent today, your last day on earth? Live like tomorrow is never guaranteed, because it's not. -- Me.

      •  Just the fact that the reaction to this story can (0+ / 0-)

be drawn right down political line, in my eyes, tells me everything I need to know about the right.

In a lot of ways, in their eyes, Wilson was killing Obama, and not Mike Brown.

    •  Jaywalking (0+ / 0-)

He was gunned down for JAYWALKING.

      A thousand times worse.
