What I said is that Perry (whose conviction I'd love to see) is to be considered innocent until proven guilty.

Apparently in a good cause you wish to forget that presumption. And sorry, if that becomes the belief in this country, we are doomed. I don't want people on my side leading us on that path.

    •  Well kiddo if you HAD said that, I would've (2+ / 0-)

      responded differently.

And while perhaps you meant to indicate that was your stance, what you said was:

The problem if we adopt their tactics and attitude we will lose - they are better at bad they we are. And it will just give them credit for being right about their bad actions.

Sorry, you lost me. I am not going to lower myself to their level. I don't want to live in that kind of America.

I took that to mean you "don't want sink to their level and the Left needs to act better than them".

Again, you may have meant something different, I just responded to what you actually posted.

      •  To state the obvious (0+ / 0-)

by tactics I meant race baiting, lying, distortion, working to impede governance and similar.

I'm stunned I needed to clarify that. I don't think that's what you want, but when you say you want to embrace their tactics, you leave yourself wide open.

        •  Obviously, wait, I just called you on not being (4+ / 0-)

more specific, so let me start again....

No. I do NOT want our side to use "race baiting, lying, distortion, working to impede governance and similar" tactics.

Those actions are the work of those who do not or can not depend upon the truth or reality to explain their policies or activities.

I would prefer that our nation re-initiate the type of regulation and laws as regards the FCC which used to be the standard of broadcasting in this once Much Better nation.

Where people could turn on the NEWS and hear FACTS about the events of the day, instead of an endless debate about, for instance, what the meaning of "IS" is.

The world is so much more complex than it was in earlier eras. Information comes at us (literally now via fiber-optics) at the speed of light and in amounts no human being can download and interpret without any outside assistance.

Which is why the devolution of our national news reporting over the past generation or two has me at odds with my better nature most of the time.

So no, I don't want to "embrace their tactics" of "race baiting, lying, distortion, working to impede governance and similar", what I want is a more truthful and fact-based reporting of the events of the day by those whom we depend upon to give them to us - but who nowadays publicly state that "it's not my job" when asked about Truth in Reporting.
