    Gov. Kitzhaber has promised to sign it if it gets that far, and I think it will, for the reasons we are talking about. I imagine some of the opposition comes from people who have profited from a bill not passing, given the figures you quoted. Remember The Colorado should be the motto, because I am reading some good things, economically speaking, about that state. Colorado has two kinds of pot for sale, Medical and Recreational, as you probably know. You have to have a card for the medical and I think a reasonably valid medical condition. That pot is cheaper. The Recreational Pot, though is for sale to anybody. Tourists, residents, you name it. Just more expensive. About time. Can't imagine some RW group won't stop it, but then, there are Profit and Taxes to consider.

    The US ranks 138th out of all 169 voting countries in actual voting. Since 1974, mid-term % of eligible voters who vote avgs. 37%. Democrats would dominate if they did one thing- GOTV. They never do. Curious.
