The combination of Pesh Merga and Iraqi soldiers on the ground, and American & allied air support, is going to prove to be the end of ISIL.

And if the ISIL forces try to dynamite the dam on their way out, that will bring down an absolute firestorm on their heads from the world community.

The bulk of the ISIL problem should be possible to solve within a few months.  After that, they will most likely remain as a terrorist group for some years, but can be picked off with drones as we have done to Al Qaeda.

We got the future back. Uh-oh.

has gathered ISIL has made no advanced moves to disable the Mosul Dam, which may determine its capability to damage it in a significant way.  Right now the dam is still supplying needed electricity and water to areas ISIL holds.
