    ... I believe I've seen references to that technology before.

    Many people think of "putting a wind turbine on the roof", without thinking that the energy comes from resisting the flow of the wind, and so the stresses that a wind turbine places on a roof may be much sharper than the roof was designed to support.

    A windpower generator that is efficient at low windspeed and is appropriate for installation on the tops of buildings would offer opportunities to get more of the complementarity of solar and wind available for distributed power generation.

    So that's a technology to add to the watch list.

    All the world's a stage, the theater is on fire, and the lead actors are telling the audience that the smoke is a trick, they should stay seated an enjoy the show.
