  •  Hours before. The police of course are saying (17+ / 0-)

    that protesters

    1) threw molotov cocktails and looted businesses before police were forced to upgrade their response - however a number of on-scene Independent Reporters, some of them broadcasting LiveStream video as it happened, said that the police amped up their response BEFORE any of this occurred

    2) Shots were fired, @iamchrishayes tweeted that he observed at least two bodies on the ground. No actual confirmed reporting on who the shooter(s) are, however police are claiming it was an 'outside group of small number who planned and then did shoot firearms' whether to incite the local protester was not clear.

Again, most of the LiveStreaming reporters said, as in last night, the police initiated fear gas and rubber bullets before any of this other behavior happened.

    •  The real Chris Hayes @chrislhayes did NOT (9+ / 0-)

tweet that. He tweeted that he saw one body on the ground and it was after a car accident, not a shooting.

I appreciate your getting information to us but it appears you've been fooled by a fake twitter account. Chris has been doing some great reporting from Ferguson as have many other on the ground reporters. I find it amazing how so much of media paints a different picture of looting and mayhem and riots when the guys (and women) who are actually there so often give us an entirely different picture.

      or a Freudian slip?

Is there any evidence that the protesters are setting up barricades (tires, cars, etc)? I'd be surprised if they weren't, if they are under fire.
