Notoriously hates gov. Nixon, who is a democrat.

Nixon seems to be playing politics by leaving the ball in McCollugh's court.  McC did everything he could to be thrown off the case, but Nixon has left him with the hot potato.

Sadly, I think this means that neither man feels a conviction is likely on any charges that would satisfy the public in Ferguson.  Both men want the resulting stink to be on the other party.

Both men also seem to value politics above the search for justice as well.

And don't get me started on how worthless the feds will be, in the end.

MO AG Chris Koster is a Democrat, although he switched parties in 2007. I have never heard that he has a rivalry with Nixon. Do you have a citation for that assertion?

Also, I do not believe for a second that McCulloch has done "everything he could to be thrown off the case." On the contrary, I think he wants the case something fierce. My fear is that McCulloch (whose father was a cop and killed in the line of duty in 1964) will be pro-Wilson, which is why he has gone to the trouble of empaneling a GJ instead of just indicting Wilson himself.

The American weakness is that we try to rule the world with public relations, then end up believing our own con jobs. We are adrift in a mythical ship which no longer touches land.--Gustav Hansford
