  •  Oy! (9+ / 0-)
55 officers in the 34,000-person department have been sued 10 or more times during that time period.
Those fifty-five officers need to be taken off the streets, and their partners need retraining - and all officers need badge cameras.

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary? . . . and respect the dignity of every human being.

don't give a damn attitude problems who ought to be fired and stripped, summarily, of all protections against lawsuits aimed at reducing THEM to penury.

0.00161764705     of the force, using the numbers quoted above  -- and yet these 55 officers keep behaving in unacceptable ways. Either these 55 are serious troublemakers or the other 33,340-odd officers behave less egregiously more often.

I think this is called "a pattern of behavior."

Either way, these 55 need to be off the streets, out of the uniform, and NOT able to continue misbehaving.
