    as the racial makeup of this grand jury is that grand juries are notoriously pulled from among a portion of the population that is associated with police. I don't know if Missouri uses the "key man" grand jury system (as Texas does), but I do know that in many states, grand juries end up being comprised of lots of former cops and people sympathetic to police.

    That will be another hurdle to climb. And it's especially likely given that this GJ was convened before this incident took place (which suggests it's likely to be one of those police-friendly constructions).

    Lots of complaints recently about former police captains sitting on grand juries where cops are being assessed/investigated. No conflict of interest there, right?
