    Saw my first Cubs game in 1945. Phil Cavaretta, Stan Hack, etc. Was a big fan during the Hank Sauer, Frankie Baumholtz years. Still remember the great double play call of Smalley to Terwilliger to the right field stands. Handsome Ransom Jackson, Bill Serena, Bob Rush, Paul Minnow. All those teams stunk to high heaven but we remained loyal. Finally threw in the towel in 2012 when old man Ricketts committed $10 million to trash Obama.
    The Cubs will continue to fleece the good people of Chicago for funding and will continue to be losers - although not the lovable losers of the past.
    By continuing to support this morally bankrupt organization, the Cubs fans are now getting exactly what they deserve.
