I happened to be reading about Burger King in another tab. They swear the move has nothing to do with taxes. And, I believe them.

So, then I noticed that there's all sorts of corporate migrations to the earth's remaining survivable latitudes, all of a sudden.

And, anyone who wants to survive -- or predict the future accurately -- follows the money.

Then, I flip to your Diary, and voila.

to be built in Dubai of course... looks like the global 1% decided a while ago that they'll be fine, they'll just move into temperature-controlled luxury cities. They'll keep denying climate change publicly to avoid any kind of public interference, but the people who run these corporations aren't stupid. They can read the reports of scientists. They know it's real. But everyone who matters will be fine - why change anything?

The New World Order may look a lot like the World Cup Stadium project in Dubai, where a captive work force labors in 120 degree heat until they fall over dead... no matter, there'll be plenty of starving people to fill the position...
