You'll have to entertain me, because this is really hear nor there, but I check the Gongwer News tweet aggregate every day, as they aggregate political tweets throughout the state.

Anyway, I've been catching Mike Bishop - former senate majority leader and Republican nominee for MI-08 (my district) - in the tweets pretty regularly.  God almighty is this guy awful.  He comes across like some 20-year-old Young Republican-type.  The crap he retweets and tweets out rarely has anything to do with the campaign at hand.

I knew he was obnoxious - and former governor Jennifer Granholm details some of this in her book - but he's even more obnoxious than sitting MI-08 representative Mike Rogers.  I don't know if he's running his social media this way because he thinks he already has this in the bag, or because he can't help it, but I can't take another Mike.  In comparison, Dem nominee Eric Schertzing is way too quiet on social media.  Hell, the hopeless Dem nominee up in MI-04 is more active than Eric.

Barb Byrum or Gretchen Whitmer really should have jumped in.  Either of them would have had Mike back on his heels from the beginning.  Here's to hoping Schertzing can pull a rabbit out of his hat.
