I voted Tuesday, May 6, 2014 because it is my right, my responsibility and because my parents moved from Alabama to Ohio to vote. Unfortunately, the republicons want to turn Ohio into Alabama.

      •  I'm surprised he admitted it; yeah for sure (4+ / 0-)

these evil rich people are the destroyers of the USA.

They're vampires, takers leeches (although there is use for them in nature). They have money, a dedicated team and a bunch of stupid people on their side.

        Sigh/

      •  I disagree. (0+ / 0-)

Is this guy (and others like him) overpaid: the stats say yes. Paying him that much doesn't lead to better results for shareholders, the company, consumers or workers. One winner to take it all (Sorry, Tolkien).

But let's not get distracted from the REAL problem! And the real problem is that people at the bottom and the lower middle earn too little. Paying this guy, say 300k a year, if the rest of that money were distributed to all workers in his company, or just the bottom two thirds (in terms of pay)? Well $12,000,000 is a bunch of cash... until you divide it by 200 or 300k. Then it works out to 40 to 60 bucks A YEAR. That's not nothing, but a dollar a week isn't going to fix what needs fixing. Hell, a dollar AN HOUR more for the bottom two thirds isn't enough. Not even close.

So, sure suck it to the 1%. But that's an ice bucket thimble challenge.
