  •  If He's The Best They've Got..... (9+ / 0-)

I feel a little twinge of pity for them.  He's wooden.  He's got that plastic wife.  He's arrogant & more privileged than 99% of the country.

Transforming Mitt into the average Joe sitting @ his kitchen table trying to figure out how to pay all the bills this month plus the new carburetor, is a herculean task.

Mitt's not relatable unless you are in the top 1%.  He's not sexy.  He's not a particularly appealing or inspiring speaker.

He's a retread.  We've already seen his schtick.

Oh yeah......he's also a Republican.  Ewwwwwww.

    •  He's their second best. #1 is … Rand Paul. (0+ / 0-)

Paul is 80% batshit crazy and has 20% actual, creative, good ideas. That puts him 20% ahead of the rest of the GOP field, and I think the GOP will realize that 20% makes Paul the only one with a shot at grabbing the interest of mainstream voters.

Romney remains a complete cipher—he will assume whatever shape he thinks the American right has taken this week.

      Romney-Paul discussion among GOP pundits:

"The true strength of our nation comes not from the might of our arms or the scale of our wealth, but from the enduring power of our ideals."—Barack Obama
