    This is pretty crass and the guy sounds like kind of an idiot if he thinks making a public fuss like this is a way to move church teaching.

    Pope Francis has both church tradition and moral right on his side and clearly feels quite strongly about this. Somehow, I don't think bumps in the progress of renovations for the cathedral of perhaps the richest city in the world is going to give him much unease.

      moral authority on this topic, at least, that I think he could make a appeal to New York City Catholics and probably raise the funds from the common folk and/or the upper middle class and the 1% (not to be confused with the 0.01%, who, like Ken Lagone, not only spend most of their time screwing people but also expect to be praised for doing it).
