    world we would have a system that requires judges to defend their decisions. Imagine if when a judge gives a decision like this he would be required to defend it under strict cross examination. Questions like yours could be asked and explored and he would be legally required to answer under the same rules of relevancy as any other person giving testimony.

    Of course it wouldn't be practical to have this happen after every decision ever given, but there are a number of possible triggers that would limit the number of times it would happen. One example would be that any Supreme Court Justice could order such an examination.

    Of course it won't happen, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't happen.
