  •  "Why did I trust Bush?" (none)
My fellow Americans, I am here today because I owe you an apology for my naivete'. Looking back, I see I should not have trusted President Bush when he brought forth the resolution to use force in Iraq. Looking back, it's quite obvious that this administration possesses no relationship with truth in any fashion. It is now clear to me that our nation is led by a cabal of pathological liars who now seek to undermine our Constitution, the very heart of our great Democracy.

I realize now that these men are in violation of their oaths of office and are unfit to serve, much less be entrusted to protect our country as witnessed on 9/11/2001 and the terrorist attacks that occured after 9/11/2001, the Anthrax attacks.

I know my lapse in judgement is unacceptable, but I swear to you, from this day forward I will work to uphold my oath of office and protect our nation from further assault by the right wing forces led by this administration toward undermining our great nation. It is my greatest wish that you will stand by me and support as I lead those who still believe in the rule of law and that what we say matters as much as what we do. We will drive these enemies of the state from power so that we may begin reparing the damage they've loosed upon our country and the world since taking office. Long live Democracy!!!

Of course, I know that will never happen because that would be the equivalent to claiming you are going to drive a spike through the heart of a vampire, because then you would actually have to do it.
