  •  Are you saying Bush is going to (none)
blame Dems for supporting him?  That seems a little far-fetched.  I hope I'm misreading what you said.
    •  that's the premise though (none)
by not saying they're sorry, they don't differentiate themselves from repugs, and yet... by saying they're sorry they do put their lot in with the repugs by taking on their share of the blame.  the press would love to have a crack at this.

but nothing is too far-fetched for bush, at any rate.  wouldn't be surprised if he did blame dems for supporting him.  with a friendly media he could get away with it.  and then kossacks would just blame dems for that too..

      •  I'm usually pretty good with logic problems (none)
but you just confused me thoroughly.

I "think" I disagree with you on the following:  If the Dems apologized they would not be putting their lot in with Repugs - they've already done that and this would be their first step in distancing themselves.

For W to blame Dems for supporting him would him to admit the policy was and is wrong, and that's not going to happen.

That last part about Kossacks blaming Dems?  That seems like a kind of a cheap shot, to tell you the truth.  Kossacks have high standards, in general, and quite possibly higher than the powers that be that control the Democratic Party right now, but I don't think we sit around thinking of ways to discredit Dems.  We're just not afraid to call them out for mistakes, unlike Repugs who hate to be critical of their own even at the expense of appearing to be full-on wingnuts.

        •  logically (none)
it's a catch-22 at best. apologize, and that dilutes the blame placed on the bush admin.  don't apologize, kossacks say they're not accountable.

I don't think we sit around thinking of ways to discredit Dems.

i'm not convinced we all don't.

    •  Bush was driving (none)
Bush was driving the car that ran our country into the ditch in Iraq. I don't think the democrats should apologize because they didn't do more to take the keys away before he hopped in the car. It is Bush's fucking fault! I'm tired of this gang-banging of democrats by democrats. Focus people! We are not the problem, the repugs are the complete and total reason for the Iraq mess.

The Bush administration is a Travesty of a Mockery of a Sham!
