  •  the call has gone out (4.00)
spread it far & wild, people:

Urgent: Woodstock 2005 Bands Needed NOW- Crawford, Texas- Drop your sched and GO

To all who want peace in America, now is the time to expose the corruption. We urge everyone to drop their schedules and go to Crawford, Texas right now. It's time to stage the Party to end all parties, camping out in the heat of texas will make for great tv ;-)

    •  Some bands and music groups to call (4.00)
System of a Down, this sounds like it's right up their alley. Have you seen BOOM! yet?
Rage Against the Machine, same thing as SOAD but SOAD is better at it
Eminem, hear me out, anybody remember Mosh? Watch it if you didn't see it back in '04, it gave me chills.

I was at the Army chow hall the other day, which is run entirely by KBR, and at the sandwich bar there's a sign that says "Have it OUR way". Very funny, KBR.

      •  Bruce Springsteen (4.00)
He's got a show tonight (WI) and Wednesday (OR), but nothing scheduled Monday or Tuesday.

        His tour ends next Saturday.

Bruce sitting on the side of a hot Texas road singing about our fallen sons and daughters and showing support for a true patriot -- seems right.

You can e-mail Springsteen's media rep. at:

Our American government has strayed too far from American values. It is time to move forward. The country we carry in our hearts is waiting.

        - Bruce Springsteen, August 2004
        •  My letter to Springsteen's rep... (4.00)
          Just sent it to the media rep listed in QWQ's comment. It's not long, so it is reprinted in toto (for those wishing to use it, please feel free, just remember to change the name at the bottom, LOL)...   ;~}

          To Whom It May Concern:

Please ask Mr. Springsteen to go to Crawford, TX (after his tour ends), and meet with Cindy Sheehan (and the rest of the people there) and lend his support to a very worthy cause.

It is important that we keep this going. Cindy will need all of the support she can get, especially during the long, hot month of August (in Texas, we get a true understanding of what our troops are enduring, since Texas in August rivals only Hell in terms of unrelenting heat)...

On a more prosaic note, if Mr. Springsteen does go, please ask him to bring plenty of water, at least for Cindy, because she is looking more and more dehydrated as her vigil progresses; and this is, potentially, extremely life-threatening for her. Everyone there needs water, but she is the main person, the main reason for the vigil, so her needs must come first.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

          Best Regards,

          Rev. Denise Michel

    •  Green Day (none)
I believe Green Day would lovge to show up also.
WE ALL NEED TO BE EMAILING MICHAEL MOORE...HE IS POSTING CINDY'S STORY...EMAIL HIM, or if anyone gets his agents' number let us begin the calling...he has the money, the power, the backing to pull together a WOODSTOCK setting quickly...
    •  sorry to disagree so whole-heartedly, (none)
but I do - this is about a mom's grief and a nation's justice, I think it would be a terrible mistake to turn it into a celebrity event.

      My $0.02.

      I am the federal government.
