  •  The Two Armandos (none)
Lately I've become increasingly convinced that there are two "Armando" characters posting to this blog.

The first Armando, the one who generally offers well-researched, well-argued postings, I tend to agree with and respect.  Sure, he's sometimes a little incendiary, but that's what you're allowed to do as an impassioned online columnist, especially since, like most political blogs, people here are "preacing to the choir" -- it's not like Michelle Malkin is trying to win over "the other side" either.

The second Armando, however, the one who is blisteringly incoherent and quick-tempered in his Kos comments, the one who is rude and arrogant and disrespectful and virtually unable to make a single comment that doesn't involve a personal insult to anyone who dares to disagree with any element of his point of view, THIS Armando is an embarassment not only to our side, but to the first Armando's often interesting and insightful point of view.  Why give the Repubs more ammunition to call us arrogant and idiotic "moonbats"?  Just scroll up and read the past 150 comments or so -- even when intellectually challenged in a calm and reasoned manner, Armando goes off like a sniveling, belittling baffoon, unable or unwilling to offer any person a fraction of the respect he expects (if not demands) from the rest of us.

First Armando: I enjoy your posts immensely.  Second Armando: Please, please, please grow up -- all the childish, immature "you smell"-level personal insults hurt us all, not just your own reputation.

    •  Nonsense (none)
Notice who I disagre with. Notice what I disagre with.

I have no tolerance for GOP Trolls.

      This site does not.

Your comment is sanctimonious and ill informed. Judge not lest ye be judged. I have never seen your comments, but if I judge from this one, you are quick to jummp to conclusions without knowing the facts.

I suggest you ask yourself what you know about the persons involved before you attack people. It is clear you did not this time.

Now, a question, was my comment to you insulting and unfair? Unreasoned? I'll learn alot aboiut you by your repsonse.

      •  Sanctimonious? (none)
Dropping insults based on your review of a handful of posts - Now you invoke King James and attack cartwrightdale for doing less (he reviewed more posts before reaching his conclusion). Seems pretty clear who is sanctimonious here.

Please try and engage in some rational debate. Most of the other comments, on all sides, have been respectful and substantive.

        •  Actually (none)
          they haven't been.

No offense to tohers who have been discussing the matter, but the level of discussion on this has been pretty poor, on all sides.

        •  you're being unfair to Armando (none)
drgrishka has been showing up for several posts now, & Armando and he have been doing battle -

personally, I've been entertained.  I commend dkos for allowing the opposing viewpoint, which is delivered in a coherent and non-insulting manner, even if he's wrong . . .

you've got two lawyers smacking each other upside the face - it's good theater, and it's also in the broad view good for the site, and since we're not getting into advanced argument like "baby-killer" and "fascist" good for the country . . .
