  •  Another rumor (none)
on the "internets" is that a massive influx of spanish speaking immigrants is the plan to fix Army recruiting and this General objected.

Just a rumor. I have no inside information.

    I'm recommending this diary.

    •  But why are you recommending it? (3.50)
You have more sense than that. What is this doing taking up space on the Recommended Diary list? Unless I'm missing something (and I asked last night, but got no response from the diarist) there is nothing here but speculation.

Sure Byrnes could have been planning to sign a letter. He could have been doing nearly anything. Where's the evidence? Any evidence at all? Tin-foil diaries really do seem to have become mainstream at this site.  Would you recommend a maybe-he's-having-an-affair-with-Laura-Bush diary?

      •  Because If You Don't Recommend It... (none)
        it will disappear in minutes.

And one thing that keeping something speculative around for a while is that it can bring in a group of fact checkers who may get to the bottom of it.

I certainly wouldn't put this in the "tin-foil" category. It's speculative, but not far-fetched.

This is CLASS WAR, and the other side is winning.

        •  Why is it outside tin-foildom? (none)
There's no evidence to support the inference. None. It's not just speculative. It's purely speculative. Lots of speculative things are interesting. But so are fact-based things. And those are the things that will disappear faster, if purely speculative stuff is placed on the RD list.
