    only affects gay/straight double standards in state law.  It does not affect adultery, per se.

    And the UCMJ is not affected, however many think the reasoning in the opinion will have many other effects as cases come up.  You might want to read it, it is a particularly well written opinion, and written in such a way as to be fully accessible to the lay person.  Just google.

      Its reasoning would appear to me to apply to any criminal prohibitions of consensual sex, at least among adults, whether under state or federal law.
      •  Maybe i read it with one blinker on (none)
        or tunnel vision.  But mmy recollection is that I had the same question in my mind at the time and it was resolved by the text, or perhaps a commentary.  I seem to have some recollection that it had to do with parts of the code whiuch pertained to criminality vs administrative status.  

        Now you've got me wondering 8-)
