  •  GE is a huge conglomerate. (none)
I have read that if all of their various divisions are taken into consideration, they are the largest military contracter in the world.
    •  Guess they make money one way or another. (none)
Somehow this just seems wrong, that they can own millitary and media.
    •  And now NBC/GE has merged with Universal (none)
So you've got NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, SciFi, Telemundo, and half-a-dozen other networks whose names I can't quite recall off the top of my head. But you get the picture-they own a bunch of cable outlets, as well as a film studio on top of the GE stuff. Mucho big bucks. Of course, ABC is owned by Disney and also has a handful of cable stations or interests in them as well (Disney, ESPN, ABC Family, etc.) CBS also has some interests in cable networks too. The bottom line is this, every single one of the media outlets is owned by a much larger conglomerete.
