  •  You're an inspiration, Cindy (none)
And we appreciate everything you've done. Our hearts and the thoughts of an entire nation are with you as you care for your mom.

As a mom of 4 boys, I am especially grateful that you have put yourself on the front lines for the rest of us. You've inspired me to take action instead of sitting back and letting others steer the direction of our future.

My boys and I have a nightly ritual of story time or songs before bed. One song in our book is this one.

"I didn't raise my boy to be a soldier
I brought him up to be my darling boy
Who dares to place a musket on his shoulder
To shoot some other mother's darling boy?
Let nations arbitrate their future troubles
It's time to lay the sword and gun away
There'd be no wars today, if mothers all would say:
'I didn't raise my boy to be a soldier'"

Here's to the day every mother's boy can stay home and raise her some grandchildren.

    Hugs from another peace-loving mom.
