    ... which they are generally very effective at, is to shift the focus from the real issue(s) to Cindy.

    They're trying to make this about her, not about Bush or the war.

    I have to add - I love that Cindy is playing the framing game in her own right by consistently referring to them as the "pro-war" crowd.

    Something for us all to keep in mind, especially in dealing with these wonderful "culture of life" folks and "values voters."

      Is brilliant. One day I was talking with a friend and when the subject of abortion issues came up, and I used the reference, "Pro-lifer." He said, "don't use that phrase, it's one they labelled themselves so that the only alternative is to be "anti-life" which makes you sound out-and-out evil.

      I hadn't really thought about it in detail before, but that's probably the wingnuts most successful strategy - to name things in a way that to oppose them would be completely insane or cruel.

      Good point, and I'm likewise glad to see Cindy is able to turn their own sneaky strategy against them.
