  •  You folks don't get it... (4.00)
The Louisiana National Guard and water drainage equipment is fighting bad weather over there so they don't have to fight it over here! What's the matter with you Lib-ruls?

    •  Where IS the National Guard? (none)
How about those giant hovercrafts used to move troops, the amphibious vehicles, the huge transport trucks, WHY WEREN'T THEY THERE TODAY? I saw earlier that there were supposed to be 77,000 troops available in surrounding states, why weren't they deployed, with rescue equipment as of today? Who the FUCK is in charge of this? Who is running he show for FEMA? Do these governors know WTF they are doing?

If I had a nickel for everytime Bush mentioned "9/11" I could raise enough reward money to go after Binladen-Jon Stewart

      •  Where's the Guard?... (none)
Flippin' through the tube watching various disaster footage and Good ol' Fox was running some trailers saying that 66% of the LA national guard was available and that equalled about 6000 humans, do the math on other states and what is available and how quick they can mobilize. And NO is already a pretty anarchic place in 2005, I know that sounds bad but this is a very stratified city with a lot of very poor people.
Also got a hand it to thse slicksters at fox, already anticipating the beef that the Guard is all over in Iraq.  They can say "But NOOOO!, 66% are still here!" We'll probably find out that many ain't around, much less than 66% but by then the Chimp will be on to bigger and better lies.

    •  You know, there are enough National Guard (none)
in Louisiana to handle the hurricane.  It's just like how there are enough in Iraq to fight my war.  I mean, the generals told me so.  If they needed more, they'd have 'em.

Let me finish.  There are some who feel like that, you know, the conditions are such that they can attack us there.  My answer is bring them on.  We got the force necessary to deal with the security situation.

It's my peeance, freeance world, and y'all are just living in it.

Just because we can, that doesn't mean we should.
