     Like dorkmeister Failed President Dimson:

     1.  As soon as I saw the photo of Junior "rockin' out", I thought of the shot of Poppy Bush playing pretend guitar on inauguration night, 1989.  That is, by the way, Lee Atwater (GHW Bush's Karl Rove) Poppy's goofing at.

     2.  I put out an A.P.B. for this photo this a.m. and it only took an hour of so for "littlesky" to find and post it.

     3.  Then, when I suggested the two shots get put together, "edicius" came through!

I think this should be front paged, myself.  Maybe waiting until a less horrific day . . .

         Alas, for the Gulf Coast.

What do you call that chord Dubya is 'playing'? Obviously, he has picked up a guitar before, but it's a very strange chord he picks here and I can't guess how he might work it in to any music simple enough for 'just folks'. How would you label such a chord? G#maj7#4#9? Try it yourself. Harsh.

        As I posted in:

        http://www.dailykos.com/story/2005/8/30/222138/171

        I vote C#7b5/E (Frets: 043004)

Looks like he missed a Cmaj7/E by a fret.

Assuming he's not using Fripp's tuning, or something even more weird...

I suppose if you follow it with Cmaj7/E (032003), it might sound intentional, but in and of itself, I don't think it would.

        •  Think simple, as in (none)
simple-minded.  He doesn't know about offbeat tuning.  He doesn't know who Robert Fripp is.  He would run howling through the night if anyone played any Fripp or KC for him (good citation, BTW, I bow at the mere mention of the Frippmeister).  He holds the guitar the same way an orangutang would (no disrespect to the orang').

Simple explanation: he's holding the guitar so he can give the finger to everyone watching.  The little frat bastard thinks it's funny.  "Heh, heh, I just flipped off everyone in Amurrica, and they didn't figure it out, heh heh heh heh heh."

Side note: Only the Republicans would run a candidate who laughs like a hellish combination of Beavis and Butthead.
