  •  I agree with Hastert (none)
I typically don't agree with GOP positons.  But in this case, I agree with Hastert.  If we are going to rebuild, why not do it in an area that will survive next time around.  Sea levels are rising, and NO is sinking.  It seems like a waste of money to rebuild in the same spot.

Would your mortgage broker finance your home in a flood zone?  Probably not.  So why rebuild New Orleans in a flood zone?

    •  Why do we keep rebuilding Florida? (none)
EVERY year we keep rebuilding parts of Florida because of hurricanes. Why do we bother helping them? Oh! I forgot, Florida is a swing state.

I guess Lousisiana doesn't have the political capital to succeed.

    •  Swamped (none)
Parts of downtown DC used to be swamp. Now they are not swamp. Very unnatural state of affairs.  Maybe if we let the heart of the nation's capital revert to its original state, we might be better off...

           No, wait...

because that would be helping poor black people.  If rich white people were impacted, we would be rebuilding tomorrow.  Look at the wild fires in California and the last eight hurricanes along the East Coast -- rich white folks with big beautiful houses that got buckets of cash to rebuild their big beautiful houses.

Denny is a SOB and needs to be voted OUT.

      The GOP betrayed us all.

We've got a few million new residents we'd like to settle in your hometown!
