  •  Actually, I don't know you personally... (none)
but if I were trying to pose as a liberal, I would post liberal stuff for a while, then throw out something off the wall, safe in the knowledge that my creds had been established.  And there are Canadian conservatives.  My husband is Canadian, and assures me that Alberta and Saskatchewan are full of them.

Look, I'm really not trying to suggest that this particular diary is a republican plant.  I think you just had an interesting idea and got carried away a bit.  It's very hard not to be a bit paranoid when one see's how totally ... Insane... this administration is.  I could write 10 pages describing all of the dangerous things they have done and not scratch the surface.  I was trying to explain the religious right to my husband's Quebecois family at Christmas, and I know from the look on their faces that they thought I was being paranoid.   But I know enough about how republicans operate to believe that it is possible, or even likely, that some of them are here and they will do whatever it takes to make us look foolish.  A little bit of critical thinking would go a long way toward making it harder for them to do that.

    •  But you see the irony (none)
in your comments, right? Paranoid CT posts make you paranoid.

    •  Why do you keep (none)
quoting your husband?  Why not just discuss your own ideas.  He can come on here and discuss his as well.
      •  Because in this particular situation.. (none)
I was presenting an idea that he had, and I give credit where due.  I am a scientist, and the idea of presenting an idea not my own as my own is abhorrent to me.  In most cases I speak for myself.  As for him appearing here... he didn't ask me to post this, and he isn't likely to post here himself.  He has an account, but he stopped posting as dKos a long time ago because he thinks  there are "too many idiot's there" and he is "not as tolerant" as I am.  I actually told him about this conversation, and he pointed out that instead of responding to my ideas, people are attacking me/my husband personally.  That is a pretty good reason not to post here, if you ask me.  What is the point of posting an idea if people are just going to ignore it and attack you personally?  Dammit - argue the merit!!!  The idea I intially proposed (that some republicans come here and post things that make us look foolish to score political points) has been lost amidst challenges to me personally.  Do you think it's possible?  Do you think it could never happen?
