    That they would only recall troops for a "real emergency?"

      that also. Something like "We can't tell Nat'l Guard to pack and leave in 24 hours--unless it's some kind of huge emergency." I'm sure he wanted to bite his tongue off when the final words came out. This press conference will be front and center tomorrow on the Talk Shows.

      Another diary here states that those guys can get ready in 24 hours for emergencies.

      I gather this wasn't "huge" enough.

      It is obvious with that insurgency reported that they just didn't have the troops and they don't want to fucking admit it.

      •  A disaster is only a REAL emergency... (none)
        ..if it can be used to justify an attack against a foreign country.  Natural disasters are not real emergencies because you can't bomb anybody for your own hurricane.
