    this was a case of deciding he doesn't want to enforce a particular law.

    now, if judges can decide which laws they want to enforce, can I decide which laws I want to follow?

    if not, why not?

      that we'd rather have them not decide but decide based on partiality.

      So, in this sense, within certain limits a judge can do just this.
