  •  Red Cross was NOT "stopped" (none)
It is the Red Cross's long-time policy not to go into any areas that need to be evacuated like the Dome. They are civilian volunteers, not the military. The RC sets up facilities for people AFTER they have been evacuated from dangerous areas.
This was on their website last week under FAQ, but it's gone now....
    •  It was not safe. That's why they did not go in. (none)
"We are an organization of civilian volunteers and cannot get relief aid into any location until the local authorities say it is safe and provide us with security and access."
      •  Bullshit... safe enough for Harry Connick, Jr. (none)
and all the TV people. It was definitely safe enough for relief workers.

New Orleans-- 72 hours later no communications, no drinking water, not enough police/troops. Bottomline, we're not prepared for another 9/11.
