      Both FDR and GWB (who will never be known by his initials) were sons of great priveledge.  The biggest difference that I can see was that Roosevelt was called to war and GWB was actively seeking out an excuse to go to war.

      The next biggest difference was that Roosevelt had a dialogue going with his generals and allies.  

      Bush has a monologue at best.  And someday, when his hand is removed from up Tony Blair's butt, we may find out how forceful and unenlightened that monologue was.

        Bush will never be accused of that.
